Hotel Venus is a sandy bathing beach in Gabicce Mare characterized by fine sand comprising 98.49% of the beach composition. The submerged area features fine sands near the shoreline and very fine sands and mud near breakwaters. The beach supports an important seagrass meadow dominated by Zostera marina, Zostera noltii, and Cymodocea nodosa, protected aquatic plant species that enhance coastal ecosystem health by stabilizing the seabed, attenuating wave action, and providing nursery habitat for juvenile fish species.

Coastal marine water body named Gabicce. Area of 1.12819 square kilometres.

Location

Gabicce Mare, province of Pesaro Urbino, Marche region. The beach extends between bathing establishment number 26 near the Giardini Unità d'Italia and the tip of Gabicce Monte. Average beach width is 55 metres.

14 bathing establishments with accessible services and sea pathway. 2 swimming schools. 3 bar-restaurants. 1 motorboat rental service. 1 windsurfing school. Lifeguard service on the equipped free beach section. Animal access is not permitted.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: E. The municipality has a largely separate sewer system (90%) connected to a treatment plant at Campo Quadro with capacity of 49,600 population equivalents. In 2010, the treatment plant achieved over 95% removal of organic load (COD and BOD5 parameters) and suspended solids and ammonia nitrogen. Total nitrogen concentrations remain below 15 mg/L and total phosphorus below 2 mg/L, meeting EU Directive 91/271/CE standards.
