Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Vaso is a bathing water area located at Porto di Brenzone on Lake Garda in the Veneto region. The beach is west-facing and has a width of 5 to 10 metres. The bathing water has been classified as excellent for the years 2021–2024. The area is managed by the Municipality of Brenzone, the Port Authority, the Coast Guard, and ARPAV.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2021–2024). Enterococci at 95th percentile: 5,481 CFU/100 ml; at 90th percentile: 4,169 CFU/100 ml. E. coli at 95th percentile: 16,771 CFU/100 ml; at 90th percentile: 10,918 CFU/100 ml.

Risks

Identified sources of pollution include river mouths, Valle di Boazzo, and Valle dei Trovai. Infrastructure includes mixed municipal water conveyance systems with emergency overflows east of the hotels, a consortium collector, storm water discharge pipes, and the Peschiera del Garda wastewater treatment plant, which discharges into the Mincio river in the Lombardy region.
