Wolfgangsee is a lake with an area of 13.0 km² located primarily in the state of Salzburg, with portions extending into Upper Austria. The lake is divided into two basins by the alluvial fan of the Zinkenbach stream. Upper water layers warm relatively rapidly in summer. The bathing area at St. Gilgen-Ried is monitored for water quality.
