A sandy beach with over 99% sand composition and medium granulometry, located in the Silvi Marina area of Abruzzo. The beach has dune cordons and a nearly flat slope of approximately 4–5%. The average width is approximately 70 meters. The beach is part of the Marine Park Torre del Cerrano, which extends 2.55 kilometers along the coast and contains 27 beach concessions. The area is surrounded by urban settlements and summer tourist facilities related to bathing.

Water

Coastal waters. The water body is identified as IT_12_TRONTO_RICCIO and classified as coastal waters of the plains area with medium stability (category C2).

Location

Silvi, Province of Teramo, Abruzzo region. The bathing water zone is located in front of Via Forcella at the corner of Via Arenile Nord. The area is part of the Silvi Marina locality, with the entire marine coastline extending approximately 7 kilometers.

Facilities

Each beach facility in the area is equipped with first aid assistance, toilets, and other amenities. Several restaurants are present in the area. Pets are permitted according to regional law L.R. n. 19/07-04-2014.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: EXCELLENT. Wastewater from public sewers is treated at a consortium treatment plant located in Montesilvano (PE), managed by ACA Spa and operating regularly. The upper part of Silvi is served by an active sludge treatment facility in Vallescura, authorized and subject to routine controls by ARTA Provincial Department of Pescara. Routine monitoring is conducted periodically by ARTA. No anomalous events have been recorded.

Risks

A river mouth (foce fluviale) has been identified as a pollution source. Marine waters in the Abruzzo area have not shown cyanobacterial blooms. Rare algal blooms (bloom algali) occur during summer months, with past occurrences of dinoflagellate blooms showing scarce or no toxic species. No macroalgae or phytoplankton proliferation events have been recorded.
