This is a bathing beach in Numana, in the Marche region of Italy. The beach features fine calcareous and siliceous gravel with a moderate slope of 3% on the emerged shore and 8% on the submerged shore. The beach is 200 meters long and 45 meters wide. The surrounding area consists of urban settlements and tourist infrastructure. The distance between medium-low and high water levels is 4 meters, with astronomical tide ranging from 30 to 50 centimetres.

Water Quality

Classification category C. Water body situated in urbanised area and semi-natural agricultural environments. Monitoring conducted in 2010 showed Escherichia coli levels with monthly variations. Two main wastewater treatment systems serve the area: the Camerano plant treating approximately 20,500 urban equivalent inhabitants plus industrial discharges, and the Castelfidardo plant treating approximately 22,150 urban equivalent inhabitants plus industrial discharges. Both systems operate with activated sludge treatment and both recorded compliant results with authorised limits in 2010. During intense rainfall, combined sewer overflow discharges occur along the Aspio torrent, its tributaries, the Musone River, and directly along the beach in Numana.
