Water Quality

Bathing water quality was classified as good at the end of the 2013 season. Monitoring included analysis of faecal indicator organisms. Sanitary controls of shellfish production zones and recreational foot-fishing areas were also conducted.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified include domestic wastewater from collective and non-collective sanitation systems, stormwater discharges, agricultural activities, and runoff from the Poult stream. Port and mooring areas, camping facilities, and mobile home sites were also assessed as potential sources of contamination.
