Location

Auesee/Rettungsinsel is located in Wesel, North Rhine-Westphalia. The bathing beach spans 512 metres along the shoreline. The water body is situated at coordinates E: 333100 N: 5726643 (UTM).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023). The water is mesotrophic (natural nutrient content level 2). No relevant pollution sources have been identified. Zercariae (cercarial dermatitis) are present.

Risks

Zercariae (Digenean parasites causing cercarial dermatitis) are present in the water. Occasional bird activity occurs on the water. Risk of cyanobacterial mass development is assessed as low. Risk of macroalgae and phytoplankton mass development is assessed as low.
