Gambazza is a bathing water area along a high rocky coast with a pebbly beach, located in the Ligurian Sea. The area comprises a long stretch of cliff between Punta Castagna and Punta Merlino, including two small inlets. The water is classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2008–2011. The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms due to oligotrophic conditions, and there have been no cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation.
