Klintsø Stranden is a bathing beach located at Nyrup Bay near Klint in Odsherred Municipality, Denmark. The beach is situated in a summer house area and is accessed by walking from Rosenvangen Nord along a stream to a bathing bridge.

Water

Brackish water (mixture of salt and fresh water) in Nyrup Bay. Water depth reaches over 1 meter at the bridge end and extends 250 meters to a depth of 2 meters. Current direction is highly variable but most frequently comes from north-northwest.

Location

Located at Nyrup Bay near Klint in Odsherred Municipality. Access is from Rosenvangen Nord nr. 12–20, then walking along the stream for 100–150 meters to reach the bathing bridge. No parking available.

Facilities

Rubbish bins, benches, fire pit area, rescue post. No lifeguards mentioned. No toilets, showers, or disabled access facilities mentioned.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (based on 2017–2020 data). Minor bacteriological exceedances have occurred. Duration of contamination in summer is typically short (1–3 days depending on weather, current, and wind conditions).

Risks

Klintsø-landkanalen canal outlets treated wastewater from Nyrup Treatment Plant near the bathing area. Additional outlets are located approximately 1 km northwest and 1.5 km southeast. Risk of cyanobacteria, phytoplankton, and macroalgae growth is low. Occasional contamination from glass, litter, and chemical pollution including oil spills may occur. Swimming is not recommended if water is unclear and feet cannot be seen at knee depth.
