The Semois bathing water zone at Herbeumont (H16) is located in the Semois-Chiers hydrographic sub-basin, part of the International Meuse River District. Officially designated as a bathing zone on 25 October 1990, it has maintained relatively good water quality over more than 20 years, with only four non-conformity declarations since its designation. The beach stretches 77 metres along a 40-metre-wide river section with depths ranging from 0.10 to 1.30 metres. The riverbed consists of pebbles and rocks, with artificial banks near the bathing area and natural vegetated banks upstream.
