The bathing zone H05 is located at the sports center pond in Libramont, designated as an official bathing area on 25 October 1990. The pond covers 34 ares with a beach length of 180 metres. The water depth ranges from 0.50 metres to 2.50 metres. The pond bottom is characterized by concrete and silt, with artificial banks at the beach level and artificial or natural grass-covered banks around the pond. An information panel placed since 2008 informs swimmers of authorization or prohibition of bathing.

Location

Located on the commune of Libramont in Luxembourg province. Coordinates (Lambert): X 222800, Y 68550. Located within the Serpont stream water body in the Lesse sub-basin of the Meuse International Hydrographic District.

Facilities

Information panel displaying bathing authorization status and bacteriological quality information in three languages. Panel installed since 2008.

Water Quality

Water quality management is carried out by the General Directorate of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment (DGARNE). Historical monitoring data for bacteriological parameters is available from 2010 bathing season and earlier years. Summer water temperatures are monitored.
