Lago di Favogna is a glacially-formed lake situated on the Favogna plateau, a southern extension of Monte Mendola. The northern shore features a grassy area with a wooden jetty and reed beds. The lake was created by glacier activity during the ice age, which carved the basin into the bedrock. The water quality is rated as excellent based on 2021-2024 monitoring data.
