Laguna La Colgada is a permanent limestone lake located in the Ruidera Lagoons Natural Park in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. The bathing area is divided into two zones: one at the Hotel Entrelagos in Ruidera and one at the Albergue in Ossa de Montiel. The lagoon is part of an exceptional cascade system of 15 lagoons fed by underground springs and surface overflow from higher lagoons, arranged at different elevations over 35 kilometers. Water levels remain relatively stable year-round due to the geology of the area.

Water

Permanent karst limestone lake of fluvial and groundwater origin, part of a natural cascade system. Primary water supply from surface overflow and cascades from upper lagoons, plus the Hazadillas stream which provides year-round flow. Separated from adjacent lagoons by natural travertine barriers. The lagoon maintains relatively constant water levels throughout the year. Substrate composed mainly of limestone, dolomite, and marl. Beach beds contain sand and gravel; some sections have stone blocks and vegetation.

Located south of Ruidera, between Laguna del Rey and Laguna de Entrelagos. Access via CR-650 from Ruidera in the direction of Ossa de Montiel. Parking available at Hotel Entrelagos zone; no parking at Albergue zone. UTM coordinates for Albergue zone (A2): X 512020, Y 4331194, altitude 800 m.
