Laguna San Pedra is a permanent karstic limestone lake in Ossa de Montiel, Castilla la Mancha, Spain. The lake is part of the extensive Ruidera Natural Park wetland system, one of the most significant in the region. The bathing area comprises two zones: Albamanjón (H1) and Garijo (I1), located at opposite ends of the lagoon. The lake is fed by the Alarconcillo river and groundwater from the Campo de Montiel aquifer.

Permanent karstic limestone lake of primarily fluvial and groundwater origin. Part of a series of lakes at different elevations separated by natural travertine barriers. Sustrato rocoso formado por calizas, dolomías y margas. Lake bed contains fine sand with algal coverage in areas. Altitude 833 m.

Location

Located south of Ruidera and Ossa de Montiel in Albacete province. Access from Ruidera via CR-650 and AB-650 roads, then Camino de San Pedra (C-30). Garijo zone (I1) is reached immediately after taking this road by turning right. Albamanjón zone (H1) continues on C-30 until Hotel Albamanjón. Parking available at both zones.

Facilities

H1 Albamanjón: parking, bar/chiringuito, waste bins, waste collection (daily), boat dock, estimated 40 bathers on weekends and 20 on weekdays. No lifeguards, rescue posts, information signs, toilets, showers, or swimming pools.
