Laguna Morenilla is a natural limestone lake located in the municipality of Ruidera, Castilla-La Mancha. It belongs to the group of lower lakes within the Ruidera Lakes system, a series of lakes arranged at different heights and separated by natural travertine barriers. The lake is fed primarily by surface flows from streams and overflow channels from the upper lakes, with water supply almost exclusively from these sources due to the impermeability of the upper lakes. The lake bed consists of sand and algal growth, while the beach is composed primarily of sand and grass.
