Laguna San Pedra is a permanent karstic limestone lake located south of Ruidera and Ossa de Montiel in Castilla la Mancha, Spain. The lake is part of the Ruidera Natural Park, an extensive wetland system consisting of 15 lakes arranged at different elevations across 35 kilometres. The lake is fed by the Alarconcillo river and underground aquifer discharge from the Campo de Montiel aquifer. Two designated bathing zones are located at opposite ends of the lake: Albamanjón (H1) and Garijo (I1).

Permanent karstic limestone lake with travertine barrier closure. Water body fed by Alarconcillo river and underground aquifer discharge. Lake bed consists of fine sands with algal coverage in some areas. Natural substrate of limestone, dolomite, and marl. Part of a series of 15 lakes separated by natural carbonate barriers within the Ruidera Natural Park system, spanning 35 kilometres with 120 metres total elevation change.

Location

Ossa de Montiel municipality in Albacete province, Castilla la Mancha, Spain. Located south of Ruidera and Ossa de Montiel towns. Access from Ruidera via CR-650 and AB-650 roads, then Camino de San Pedra (C-30). Parking available at both bathing zones. Albamanjón zone is near Hotel Albamanjón; Garijo zone is accessed immediately upon turning onto C-30. Altitude 833 metres.

Albamanjón (H1): parking, bar/chiringuito, waste bins, embarcadero (pier), waste collection (daily). No lifeguards, rescue posts, information signs, toilets, showers, or swimming pools. Estimated 40 bathers on weekends, 20 on weekdays. Garijo (I1): parking, bar/chiringuito, waste bins, waste collection (daily). No lifeguards, rescue posts, information signs, toilets, showers, swimming pools, or embarcadero. Estimated 40 bathers on weekends, 20 on weekdays.
