Landerslev Strand is a shallow sandy beach with green recreational areas located at the end of Strandhøjvej. The beach features a sand bottom and is very shallow. The water is brackish with salinity between 1 and 2 percent. Bathing water quality is classified as Excellent.

Brackish water body with salinity of 1–2 percent. Very shallow sandy bottom with potential for sandbar formation. Water circulation follows wind direction.

Location

Located at Strandengen at the end of Strandhøjvej. Parking spaces are available.

Facilities

Shallow sandy beach. No bathing jetty. No lifeguard. No disabled access facilities. No toilets. Dogs allowed on leash from April to October; dogs may be loose if under control from October to March.

Season

Official monitoring season: April to October (summer season). Bathing water monitored year-round.

Water Quality

Bathing water quality classification: Excellent (grade 4). Monitored at station 119 with 5 samples per bathing season. Low risk of cyanobacteria blooms, occurring only rarely during several days of calm warm weather. Low risk of macroalgae and phytoplankton blooms, though seaweed may occur.

Risks

Heavy rainfall can cause brief wastewater impacts lasting up to 3 days depending on rainfall size and current and wind conditions. Low risk of cyanobacteria and macroalgae blooms.
