Lavensby Strand is a beach approximately 1000 metres long and 4–10 metres wide, composed of sand with scattered large stones. The beach may experience seaweed wash-up and has a boat launch. The seabed consists of sand, scattered stones, and seaweed growth, reaching a depth of 1 metre at approximately 115 metres from shore. Sandbanks make precise depth description difficult. The bathing area is generally very shallow and therefore child-friendly.
