Løserup Strand, nord is a bathing area located parallel to Løserup Strandvej in Holbæk Kommune, Denmark. The beach is approximately 40 metres long and features a 3-metre-wide stone border with a sand bottom in the water and occasional larger stones. The beach has a grass area and a parking lot. Water depth reaches approximately 0.5 metres within 15 metres from shore, 1 metre at 25 metres from shore, and 2 metres at approximately 200 metres from shore.

Water

Brackish water under normal conditions. Sand bottom with occasional larger stones. Approximately 15 metres to 0.5 metres depth, 25 metres to 1 metre depth, and approximately 200 metres to 2 metres depth. Variable current direction.

Location

Located parallel to Løserup Strandvej in Holbæk Kommune, Denmark. The road to the beach is located near Strandgården. Summer houses surround the beach with agricultural land behind. Parking is available.

Water Quality

Classified as Excellent based on data from 2011–2021. Monitoring conducted during the bathing season for faecal contamination using E. coli and enterococci as indicator bacteria.

Risks

Potential faecal contamination from septic tank drainage and sewage discharge from the summer house area during exceedances. Low risk of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae), macroalgae, and phytoplankton growth. Glass fragments, waste, and chemical pollution including oil spills may occasionally occur. Swimming is not recommended if water clarity is poor and feet are not visible at knee depth.
