Løver Odde is a wide sandy beach located at the edge of Stenderup forests in Denmark. The beach stretches 500 meters along Kolding Fjord and offers a pleasant atmosphere with forest backdrop. A large swimming platform extends into the water, and a spacious green area with playground facilities is available. The beach is 500 meters long and provides a picturesque natural setting for swimmers.

Water

Brackish water in Kolding Fjord/Lillebælt. Water depth increases rapidly from the shore, exceeding 2 meters at 50 meters from the coast. Tidal variations affect water depth. Current direction is variable.

Located at Løveroddevej 12, 6092 Sønder Stenderup, Denmark. Large parking area available. Café operates May–August. Beach number G530.

Bathing season monitoring occurs between May and August.

Water Quality

Classified as Excellent quality in 2020. Classification calculated from routine monitoring samples taken during the bathing season over four years (2016–2019). Water is tested for E. coli and enterococci bacteria. Classification is revised annually before the bathing season begins.

Risks

Risk of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) blooms is low but possible during warm periods with nutrient-rich water. Risk of phytoplankton blooms is low but possible. Macroalgae (seaweed) can wash ashore and should be avoided as collections can harbor bacteria and produce toxins. Glass shards and litter may occur. No sewage system overflow in the vicinity. Small streams from nearby forest do not affect water quality.
