A sandy beach located in front of Piazza Malta in Ragusa, Sicily. The beach has a shallow seabed and is equipped with breakwater barriers to prevent erosion. It is situated near the port of Marina di Ragusa. The beach is 40 metres wide and extends for 0.8 kilometres along the coast. The area experiences a dry subtropical climate with high summer temperatures and modest winter rainfall.

The beach is free and equipped. Access is available. Animals are permitted (no municipal ordinances or signs prohibiting access). The area is used for bathing only.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The area is subject to treated wastewater discharged via submarine pipeline from the treatment plant. Potential pollution sources include intense urbanization, untreated urban discharges, and possible malfunctions of the treatment plant or submarine pipeline. Heavy precipitation can cause overflow of stormwater into bathing waters. No anomalous situations have occurred in recent years.
