A sandy beach located in front of Piazza Torre in Ragusa, with a shallow seafloor that slopes gently. The beach is 40 metres wide and situated near the port of Marina di Ragusa. It is easily accessible and located within the bathing fraction. The area experiences a dry subtropical climate with high summer temperatures and modest winter precipitation.

Location

Ragusa, Sicily, near Marina di Ragusa port. The beach is easily accessible and situated within the bathing zone. Coordinates: Y=36.7827, X=14.5548.

Facilities

Free and equipped beach area. No municipal ordinances or signs prohibit animal access.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent. The area is subject to urban wastewater discharge via submarine outfall after treatment. Potential pollution sources include intense urbanization, untreated urban discharges, and malfunction of the treatment plant or submarine outfall.

Risks

Heavy precipitation can cause overflow of stormwater discharge into bathing waters. White water discharge and overflow structures are identified pollution sources. No anomalous situations have been reported in recent years.
