Fabregas Est is a sandy beach located in La Seyne-sur-Mer, situated between Baie du Lazaret and the small roadstead of Toulon, framed by Pointe de l'Aiguillette to the north and Pointe de Fabregas to the south. The beach measures 100 metres in width and has a closed configuration with south-east orientation. It experiences medium visitor frequency and benefits from a shower connected to the mains network.

Sandy beach with semi-enclosed configuration. Natural watershed area of 1 km². Water body located between baie du Lazaret and petite rade de Toulon.

Location

La Seyne-sur-Mer, between Baie du Lazaret and the small roadstead of Toulon, bordered by Pointe de l'Aiguillette (north) and Pointe de Fabregas (south). Proximité du camping Les Pins.

Facilities

Shower connected to mains network. Mooring zone with low frequency. Lifeguard service (pompiers au poste de secours/SCHS).

Water Quality

Water quality classified as EXCELLENT based on ARS sampling during summer 2023. Vulnerability index evaluated as MEDIUM using multi-criteria analysis. Risk of algal bloom considered LOW due to correct water renewal, absence of confirmed nitrogen or phosphorus inputs, and no historical algal bloom events.

Risks

Potential bacterial pollution from street washoff via two rainwater collectors during rainfall. Risk of overflow from Fabregas pumping station due to malfunction or network surcharge, causing sewage discharge via inspection covers. Possible wastewater discharge into rainwater channels. Possible wastewater discharge via Oïde stream. Contaminated water discharge from mooring zone. Discharge from Cap Sicié sewage treatment plant outfall with surface rejections of 50,000 m³/day with potential impacts during south-west winds.
