Location

La Seyne-sur-Mer, Mar Vivo chemin Hermitte. The beach has easy access and a drainage basin area of 2.4 km².

Season

Official monitoring season runs from 15 May to 30 September.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for summer 2024 is rated as GOOD. The beach has a high vulnerability index. No nitrogen or phosphorus inputs have been confirmed. Risk of cyanobacteria, macroalgae, or phytoplankton proliferation is considered LOW. The beach has no history of algal blooms.

Risks

Proximity to a storm water canal (Le Vallat du Loup) that functions as a rainwater collector with a gate valve. Wastewater treatment plant discharge at Cap Sicié with surface releases of 50,000 m³/day, with potential impact during southwesterly winds. Black point on the wastewater network in reverse slope near the beach with possibility of network backup and wastewater overflow during heavy rainfall. Potential wastewater rejections in the stream during rain. Possible source water discharge onto the beach.
