Plejeruphuse is a bathing site located in the southeastern part of Grevinge in Odsherred Municipality, Denmark. The site features a bathing jetty approximately 70 meters long rather than a traditional beach. The water is brackish, a mixture of salt and fresh water. Water depth at the sampling point exceeds 1 meter, reaching approximately 2 meters at 200 meters from shore. The bathing water has been classified as excellent quality based on data from 2016–2019.

Location

Located in Plejeruphuse, southeast of Grevinge. A parking area with benches is available immediately before the bathing jetty.

Water Quality

Classified as excellent quality in 2019 according to Danish regulation BEK 917, based on 2016–2019 data. In 2018, three samples showed slightly elevated bacterial counts; the source was not identified. Elevated bacterial levels correlate with heavy rainfall events.

Risks

Slightly elevated bacterial counts recorded in 2018 linked to heavy rainfall. Medium risk of macroalgae growth. Low risk of cyanobacteria and phytoplankton growth. Glass shards, litter, and chemical pollution including oil spills can occasionally occur. Swimmers are advised not to bathe if water is unclear and feet cannot be seen at knee depth. Children should not play near washed-up algae.
