Water quality classified as EXCELLENT for the period 2008-2011. Identified pollution source: discharge and active pipeline at Burrone locality. No special monitoring measures or evaluations are currently in place.

Risks

The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacteria blooms due to predominant oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded.
