Rone Klint Strand is a 100-meter-long beach composed of fine sand located on the north side of Jungshoved facing Faxe Bay. The beach is 5–10 meters wide with a bathing jetty extending from the shore. The area is surrounded by green planted zones creating a pleasant atmosphere in a quiet setting near a summer house area. Water depth increases gradually, making it suitable for children.

Water

Brackish water in Faxe Bay. The seabed consists of fine sand with few medium-sized stones. Water depth under 2 meters extends 250 meters from the shore. Primary current directions are from west and east.

Location

Located on the north side of Jungshoved in Faxe Bay. Access via Bakkestien road. The beach is 100 meters long and marked with a blue line on the overview map.

Facilities

Bathing jetty, trash bins, warning sign for water quality alerts, information board.

Season

Official bathing water monitoring season operates annually; classification is revised each May before the bathing season begins.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. Classification based on routine samples analysed for E. coli and enterococci bacteria collected regularly between 2007–2010. The classification meets required standards and is revised annually before the bathing season begins.

Risks

Low risk of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) blooms. Low risk of phytoplankton blooms. Low risk of macroalgae accumulation in the water's edge. Low risk of chemical pollution such as oil spills. Glass shards and litter may occasionally be present. Sudden pollution is possible from accidents involving pleasure boats, manure tanks, and sewage lines.
