Snaigyno ežero maudykla is a bathing area located on Snaigyno Lake in the Lazdijų district of Lithuania. The shoreline is natural with low banks overgrown with trees and shrubs. The beach is approximately 15 meters long with sand covering the exposed area and a bottom composed of mud and sapropel. The lake has an ecological potential rated as good and complies with good ecological status requirements.

Water

Snaigyno Lake is a natural freshwater lake. Beach length: 15 meters. Average water depth: 0.5 meters. Maximum water depth: 1.5 meters. The lake is part of the Nemuno river basin and Nemuno mažųjų intakų (Nemuno minor tributaries) sub-basin. Annual precipitation in the basin: 550 millimeters. Water clarity is monitored.

Located in Lazdijų district, Lithuania. The bathing area is situated on Snaigyno Lake. Coordinates: X=54.1013, Y=23.7233. The lake is surrounded by villages including Snaigynas, Ančios, Pateriai, and Kailiniai.

One stationary toilet. Children's recreation and play area. Volleyball court. Canoe rental point. Waste container located at beach entrance.

Water Quality

Water quality from 2018 to 2024 met excellent quality requirements according to Directive 2006/7/EB. Monitoring is conducted regularly. Water temperature is measured during sampling. Phosphorus and nitrogen content were not analyzed; water clarity was monitored. No studies were performed on cyanobacteria, macroalgae, or marine phytoplankton.

Short-term pollution is possible during heavy rainfall; pollution disappears within 1–2 days after rain ends. No concentrated pollution sources identified. No dispersed pollution sources identified. No upstream surface water bodies that could be pollution sources. No eutrophication risk identified from anthropogenic sources.
