Sønderhav is a bathing beach located on the northern side of Flensborg Fjord opposite the Okseøernes islands. The beach is a triangular area with a small tongue of land extending into the water, featuring approximately 200 metres of coastline and varying widths of 1 to 40 metres. The beach is a sand beach with some marram grass and small amounts of gravel at the water's edge. The water bottom consists of sand, with depths reaching 5 metres at a distance of approximately 50 to 100 metres from the shore. The beach is classified as Excellent quality and is registered as a Blue Flag beach.
