Sottomarina is a bathing water area located on a peninsula separating the Venice Lagoon and the Adriatic Sea. The beach is equipped and oriented north-south, extending approximately 5 kilometres along the shoreline. The specific monitored section is situated about 1 kilometre south of Chioggia port entrance and approximately 4 kilometres north of the Brenta river mouth. The beach has a width of at least 200 metres.
