Sottomarina is an equipped beach on a peninsula separating the Laguna di Venezia and the Adriatic Sea. The beach extends approximately 5 km along a north-south orientation, situated about 1–6 km south of Chioggia harbour mouth. The bathing water area is classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2021–2024. The beach has a width of at least 200 metres.

Chioggia, Veneto province, Italy. The bathing area is located approximately 1–6 km south of Chioggia harbour mouth on the Sottomarina peninsula. Regular assistance towers for swimmers are present along the entire coastline at regular intervals.

Lifeguard assistance towers present at regular intervals along the coastline. Medical clinic available. Disabled access, toilets, and food service facilities are provided.
