Louisiana Strand is a shallow bathing beach located south of Humlebæk Rowing Club in Denmark. The water reaches a depth of approximately 2 meters about 100 meters from the shore. The beach has a sandy bottom with scattered stones and experiences light currents flowing from south to north. The water is classified as excellent quality based on monitoring data from 2013 to 2016.

Location

South of Humlebæk Roklub at Havnevej 9, 3050 Humlebæk, Denmark. Access via Havnevej. Public transport includes train to Humlebæk Station (1 km away) and bus to/from Strandvejen (100 meters away). No parking spaces available at the beach.

Facilities

Bathing bridge available. Toilets at Humlebæk Harbour. No lifeguards. No disabled access facilities.

Season

Official monitoring season: 1 June to 31 August.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as excellent. Monitored with 10 samples distributed over the bathing season (1 June to 31 August). Risk of temporary fecal contamination from sewer overflow via Humlebækken during heavy rainfall, lasting up to 2 days. Risk of cyanobacteria growth during prolonged periods of high water temperature. Minor growth of seaweed within 4 meters of the shore.
