This bathing area is located between the Ausonia and Lanterna beach establishments in Trieste. It consists of a small pebble beach serving two beach facilities. Trieste, Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Italy. Coordinates: 45.648086°N, 13.752362°E. The bathing area extends 0.867 km along the coast.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (reference years 2015–2018). Escherichia coli (90th percentile): 23 CFU/100 mL; Escherichia coli (95th percentile): 28 CFU/100 mL. Intestinal enterococci (90th percentile): 16 CFU/100 mL; Intestinal enterococci (95th percentile): 25 CFU/100 mL. No variability in quality status detected during bathing seasons 2015–2018. Potential pollution sources: Servola treatment plant with submarine outfall and Trieste new port.

Risks

No cyanobacterial eutrophication phenomena have been reported. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation have been detected. No short-duration pollution events were recorded in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
