Bar Doria is a rocky beach located in the western section of the access channel to Portovenere Bay in Liguria, Italy. It is composed of artificial embankments and situated between Punta San Pietro and the small harbor pier of Cala Moscatelli. The bathing water is classified as excellent based on 2008-2011 monitoring data. The Ligurian Sea in this area is characterized by oligotrophic conditions that prevent cyanobacterial blooms.

Risks

Cyanobacterial and macroalgal blooms are not characteristic of the area due to oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been recorded in the last four years.
