Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2011). No coastal treatment plants or Imhoff systems are present. Cyanobacterial bloom potential is low due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded in the past 4 years.

Risks

Cyanobacterial blooms are not characteristic of the Ligurian Sea due to oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation have occurred in the past 4 years.
