Eco del Mare is a bathing water area located in the Spezia Gulf along the Ligurian coast. The area consists of rocky, vegetated coastline encompassing Punta di Maramozza and the Seno di Mezzana, with a pebbly and gravelly beach at its center. The water body is classified as coastal waters with mountainous terrain and low stability. The bathing area has been classified as excellent for water quality.

Location

Lerici, La Spezia Province, Liguria region. The bathing area extends 1.303 square kilometers. The Lerici municipal office is located at Piazza Bacigalupi 9, telephone 0187601.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No coastal wastewater treatment plants, sewage pipes, or septic tanks are present in the area. The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded.
