Water Quality

Water quality classified as Excellent (2008-2011). No coastal treatment plants, sewage systems, or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. The Ligurian Sea does not experience cyanobacterial blooms due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded.

Risks

No cyanobacterial blooms or toxic algal species proliferation has been documented. Short-term pollution events and anomalous situations are under assessment using a modelling approach.
