Coastal water body. Bathing area extension: 0.93 hectares. The water body drains from the Rio Sonego watershed in a high rocky coastal zone.

Location

Recco, Liguria province, in the municipality of Genova-Camogli water body area. The responsible municipality office is located at Piazza Nicoloso da Recco 14, Recco.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2011). No wastewater treatment plants, marine outfalls, or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. No specific monitoring measures are currently active.

Risks

River mouth identified as a potential pollution source. Cyanobacterial blooms are not characteristic of the Ligurian Sea due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded in the past 4 years.
