Garibaldi Course Zone is a bathing area in Recco, Liguria, characterised predominantly by rocky coastline. The area is situated on high coast with residential settlements, and received an excellent water quality classification for 2008–2011. The Ligurian Sea does not experience cyanobacterial blooms due to oligotrophic conditions.

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). Identified pollution sources include Punta Sant'Anna treatment plant, active discharge conduit, and river mouth (Fosso dei Preli). No specific monitoring measures currently active.

Risks

Coastal discharge treatment plant, active conduit, and river mouth discharge are present. No macroalgal or potentially toxic phytoplankton blooms have been recorded in the past four years. Cyanobacterial blooms do not occur due to oligotrophic conditions.
