Matteucci Zone is a bathing area located on the coast of Sori in the Liguria region, characterized predominantly by rocky coastline. The area is situated in a high-density inhabited coastal zone within the Genova–Camogli water body. The bathing water is classified as excellent based on 2008–2011 monitoring data.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No coastal treatment plants, sea outfalls, or Imhoff tanks are present. The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms due to prevailing oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded.

Risks

Short-term pollution event characterization and anomalous situation evaluation are under modelistic development approach. No cyanobacterial blooms or potentially toxic algal proliferation have been documented.
