Isola Palmaria - Cala dello Schenello is a rocky coastal area with a pebbly and gravelly beach located on the northeastern part of Palmaria Island, extending between Punta della Mariella and Punta della Scuola. The bathing water has been classified as excellent. The Ligurian Sea is characterized by oligotrophic conditions that prevent cyanobacterial blooms, and there have been no cases of potentially toxic algal strains.
