Water quality is classified as excellent based on routine sampling conducted between 2020 and 2023. The bathing area is situated at an altitude of 200 metres above sea level.

Lake Maggiore. The bathing area extends 0.056 square kilometres. The water body showed good ecological status and good chemical status during the 2009-2014 monitoring period.

Water quality classification: Excellent. Based on 18 routine samples from 2020-2023. Escherichia coli 90th percentile: 36.0 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile: 61.5 MPN/100 ml. Enterococchi 90th percentile: 24.5 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile: 36.7 MPN/100 ml.

Risks

Intense rainfall may cause discharge of untreated wastewater into the lake. A potential source of pollution is inadequate management of the sewerage network. No cyanobacterial blooms, macroalgal proliferation, or toxic effects on bathers have been identified.
