Lemvig Strand Campingplads is a 200-meter-long beach in a scenic natural area overlooking Lem Vig fjord. The beach comprises fine sand with scattered small stones, and the fjord bottom features fine small and medium-sized stones. The beach is 60 meters wide and bordered by natural areas, with Lemvig Strand Camping to the west and a marina and holiday center to the south, creating an idyllic atmosphere.

Water

Saltwater fjord (Limfjorden). Water depth increases gradually from the shore, with depths under 2 meters extending approximately 250 meters from the coastline. Current direction is variable, primarily from the northwest and southwest.

Located in Lemvig, Denmark, at Lemvig Strand Campingplads. Parking is available. The beach is adjacent to Lemvig Strand Camping.

Water quality classified as Excellent. Classification based on routine monitoring for E. coli and Enterococcus bacteria during the 2020–2023 bathing season. Meets quality standards. Also classified as Excellent in 2022. Monitoring occurs regularly during the bathing season.

Risks

Stream outlet 400 meters north of the beach poses periodic risk of high fecal bacteria concentrations; bathers are advised to swim only within the defined beach area. Low risk of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) blooms. Low risk of phytoplankton blooms. Low risk of large macroalgae accumulation in the water's edge. Glass shards, litter, and chemical pollution including oil spills may occasionally occur. Sudden contamination possible from boat accidents, manure tanks, and sewer lines.
