Vejlby Strand is a 2,000 metre long and 100 metre wide beach located in western Denmark facing the North Sea, featuring fine sand with scattered small and medium-sized stones. The beach is situated west of a large summer house area in characteristic North Sea landscape with high dunes and white sand. The water is classified as saltwater with currents primarily flowing from north or south.

Water

Saltwater North Sea. Beach 100 metres wide and 2,000 metres long. Seabed consists of fine sand with occasional small stone patches. Water depth increases steeply offshore and is highly variable due to tidal and weather conditions.

Location

Vejlby, Lemvig Municipality, Denmark. Access via Strandvejen, which leads to a summer house area with multiple access points to the beach. Parking available.

Lifeguards, toilets with drinking water, disabled access, waste bins, blue flag, warning signs for degraded water quality, rescue buoys.

Water quality classified as Excellent (Udmærket kvalitet). Classification based on routine monitoring for E.coli and Enterococcus bacteria during 2020–2023. Meets standard threshold values. Risks

Risk of rip currents (revlehuller), which are dangerous natural phenomena where swimmers can become trapped in outward-flowing water.
