Lido Anzasco

Lido Anzasco is a bathing area on Lake Viverone in Piverone, Piedmont. The site features a grassy lakeside promenade with benches and a short sand-equipped section with a sandy bottom that slopes steeply. Public wooden piers are available for boat mooring. The beach is narrow at approximately 2 metres in the sand-equipped section.

Lake Viverone (Lago di Viverone). The bathing area extends 0.422 km² at an elevation of 230 metres above sea level. The lake bottom is sandy and slopes steeply.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent. Based on 18 routine samples from 2020–2023. Escherichia coli 90th percentile: 29.7 MPN/100 ml; 95th percentile: 52.2 MPN/100 ml. Enterococci 90th percentile: 21.2 MPN/100 ml; 95th percentile: 34.1 MPN/100 ml. No significant pollution episodes have been recorded in recent years despite the presence of point sources.

Risks

Two overflow structures and a drainage channel (roggia Carriola) in the vicinity of the monitoring zone could affect bathing water quality by causing microbiological parameter exceedances. Possible release of mineral oils and fuel from boats. Cyanobacterial monitoring is conducted during the bathing season due to lake eutrophication, though no significant cyanobacterial densities have been detected in recent years. Possible phytoplankton proliferation.
