Water Quality

Classification: Excellent. Based on 18 routine samples from 2020–2023. Escherichia coli: 90th percentile 21.4 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile 34.1 MPN/100 ml. Enterococci: 90th percentile 51.3 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile 90.6 MPN/100 ml. The area falls within the Orta 6 zone with low pressure classification and minimal anthropogenic impact.

Risks

Intense precipitation can trigger overflow structures and accidental failures of pumping stations, potentially introducing untreated wastewater into the lake. No cyanobacterial monitoring is conducted periodically in this zone. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or harmful algal bloom proliferation has been detected. No anomalous events have been recorded.
