Revkrogen Strand is a sandy beach located in a sheltered position off Halvskov Odde, oriented toward the south. The beach is between 5 and 25 meters wide and approximately 420 meters long, bordered inland by a protected fortification. The seabed consists of sand to a depth of approximately 2 meters. Water quality has been classified as excellent based on data from 2012–2017.

Water

Saltwater body with a sandy seabed. Water depth is relatively shallow, requiring 70 to 120 meters to reach 2 meters depth. Depth conditions vary due to tidal influences, currents, and weather. Dominant current direction is west at 43%.

Location

Revkrogen Strand is located in Slagelse Municipality. Access is via Storebæltsvej road, with parking available at the eastern end of the beach. A path leads from the parking area to the beach.

Facilities

Parking, information board, rescue post, emergency telephone, first aid equipment, toilets. No bathing pier has been installed.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as excellent. The beach is a Blue Flag beach. Water is not affected by fecal pollution from the immediate hinterland, though diffuse pollution from distant sources may occur. Monitoring is conducted 10 times per year.

Risks

Low risk of cyanobacteria blooms. Risk of seaweed accumulation in the water's edge, though currents typically wash it away within days. Glass shards, debris, and chemical pollution including oil spills may occasionally occur.
