Sbocco Fosso Manarini is a bathing beach in Ancona, Marche region, with fine quartzose-feldspathic and calcareous-siliceous sand. The beach has a gentle slope of 3% and is protected by artificial rocky outcrops. The distance from medium-low to high water (safe water limit) is 80 meters, with astronomical tides ranging from 30 to 50 centimeters. The surrounding area consists of urban settlements with a railway line passing through.

Facilities

Emergency rescue service via all-terrain vehicle on beach from 1 July to 31 August. Yellow Cross support from Falconara. Dog access permitted from 1 October to 30 April, and year-round access for guide dogs and rescue dogs.

2015: Excellent classification, E. coli 95th percentile 45.1, intestinal enterococci 95th percentile 28.0. 2016: Excellent classification, E. coli 95th percentile 91.9, intestinal enterococci 95th percentile 62.9. 2017: Excellent classification, E. coli 95th percentile 188.2, intestinal enterococci 95th percentile 46.6. 2018: Good classification, E. coli 95th percentile 253.0, intestinal enterococci 95th percentile 70.8. The sewerage system of Camerano and southern Ancona fractions serves the urbanized territory. A biological treatment plant with activated sludge is located in Camerano with capacity of 7,032 cubic meters per day. Mixed sewage overflows occur during heavy rainfall events, discharging into Fosso Manarini approximately 50 meters from its mouth.

Discharge of mixed waters from sewage overflows into Fosso Manarini during heavy rainfall. Non-toxic microalga fibrocapsa japonica blooms in July and August. Non-stinging pelagic jellyfish Cotylorhiza tubercolata and stinging jellyfish Charybdea species present.
