Spiaggia Lido

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Spiaggia Lido is a bathing beach located on Lake Lavarone in the municipality of Lavarone, Trentino Alto Adige. The lake occupies the bottom of a vast karst doline and is fed primarily by springs located above it. The beach is approximately 120 meters long and 25 meters wide. The surrounding area features coniferous forest to the west and meadows on the other shores. The water has achieved an Excellent classification for the years 2016–2019.

Lake Lavarone is a lake located in a karst doline. The bathing area covers approximately 0.9 square kilometres. The lake is fed by springs and drains through a short emissary on its northeast side that eventually disappears into a sinkhole.

Location

The bathing area is situated in the inhabited area of Chiesa di Lavarone in the municipality of Lavarone, Trentino Alto Adige, Italy, at an altitude of 1079 metres above sea level. Parking is available on-site.

Facilities

Equipped lido with dock, toilets, hotel facility, restaurant, and parking. Animals are not permitted.

Water Quality

The water quality classification is Excellent for the years 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. No point sources of pollution have been identified. The lake is not included in the seasonal algal monitoring plan as it has not been affected by documented algal blooms in recent years.
