Coastal water body (Portofino - Zoagli). Rocky cliff coastline with sections of artificial structures. Fed by Rio Fossetto and Rio Rico watersheds.

Location

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No specific monitoring measures currently activated. Liguria coastal waters are not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms due to oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been recorded in the past four years.

Risks

River mouth discharge identified as a pollution source. No wastewater treatment plants, pipes, or Imhoff tanks are present in the coastal area.
